Doamnelor si domnilor , uitati de vampiri , varcolaci , ingeri si urati-le bun venit sirenelor. Uitati de familia Cullen si urati-le bun venit famiilor Triton si Poseidon.
Au fost odata ca niciodata doua case in adancurile marilor: Poseidon si Triton. Poseidon decide sa vina pe uscat sa convietuiasca cu oamenii datorita fascinatiei lui pentru acestia , unde ajunge si sa faca copii cu pamantencele. Lucrurile nu merg ca unse si Poseidon este obligat sa ceara ajutorul fratelui sau Triton care omoara toti pamantenii cu tot cu copii jumate sirene jumate oameni a lui Poseidon. Odata la 3 generatii , primi nascuti din cele doua case erau obligati sa se „casatoreasca” asa ca vine si timpul lui Grom (Triton) si a Naliei (Poseidon) dar in urma unei explozii aceasta moare lasandu-l pe Grom fara jumatatea sa.
Povestea incepe pe plajele insorite ale Floridei unde Emma cade in bratele lui Galen (fratele lui Grom) la propriu. Ea este un mister pentru Galen deoarece fizicul si caracterul ii arata lui ca ea ar putea fi sirena dar nu este pe deplin sigur. Cand isi da seama cu adevarat ca are Darul lui Poseidon acesta este pus intre ciocan si nicovala: sa o duca la fratele sau pentru a putea duce mai departe neamul sirenelor sau dragostea lui pentru ea e mai mare decat salvarea unei rase.

Spusa din ambele puncte de vedere , atat al Emmei , la persoana I , cat si a lui Galen la persoana a IIIa , povestea se face bine inteleasa. Romanul este unul usor ,foarte amuzant, si plin de mister. Toate personajele sunt bine conturate , de la Emma si Galen , la Rayna si Toraf , la Rachel si mama Emmei. Sunt o mana de personaje dar fiecare are un rol important in poveste.
Emma aduna toate caracteristicile care imi plac mie la un personaj: indrazneata , sarcastica si chiar daca la inceputul romanului era extrem de tacuta traind in umbra prietenei sale Chloe , maturizarea ei ca sirena o face mai dura gata gata sa puna la bataie totul. Desi a fost votata cea mai dulce fata din scoala aceasta reuseste sa o impinga pe Rayna , sora lui Galen , prin geamul de sticla intr-o bataie. Galen e o sirena foarte atragatoare dupa descrierea Emmei. Este ambasadorul sirenelor pentru oameni si isi petrece majoritatea timpului pe tarm. Povestea dintre cei doi evolueaza frumos si amuzant , cu o usa in fata. Pe masura ce trec zilele acesta se convinge tot mai mult de capacitatile Emmei si decide sa ii spuna secretul care ii uneste lasand la o parte casatoria ei cu Grom. Dar cum va putea el sa renunte la dragostea pentru ea doar pentru a unifica din nou cele doua case?
“Emma this is not a joke. Look at your hands! They’re… they’re… wrinkled!”
„Yes that’s because-”
„No way. I’m not going down for this. This isn’t my fault.”
„Toraf-”
„Galen will find some way to blame me though. He always does. ‘You wouldn’t have gotten caught if you didn’t swim so close to that boat, tadpole.’ No it couldn’t be the humans fault for fishing in the first place-”
„Toraf.”
„Or how about. ‘Maybe if you’d stop trying to kiss my sister, she’d stop bashing your head with a rock.’ How does my kissing her have anything to do with her bashing my head with a rock? If you ask me, it’s just a result of poor parenting-”
„Toraf.”
„Oh and my favorite: ‘If you play with a lionfish, you’re going to get pricked.’ I wasn’t playing with it! I was just helping it swim faster by grabbing its fins-”
„TOR-AF.”
He stops pacing along the water, even seems to remember that I exist. „Yes, Emma? What were you saying?”
Alte personaje care m-au facut sa zambesc continuu au fost Rayna si Toraf. Toraf este prietenul celor doi frati din copilarie dar pe masura ce ajunge la maturitate trebuie sa se imperecheze cu cineva si o alege pe Rayna fara acordul ei. Suntem martori la incercarile lui disperate de a o cuceri in timp ce ea se tine dura. Intr-un final cu ajutorul Emmei , Toraf o cucereste schimband rolurile si facand pe indiferentul. Toraf este prietenul de care are oricine nevoie si pe care te poti baza in orice situatie. Rayna este total diferita de el , copila incapatanata care ar face orice numai sa distruga lucrurile.
„If you want to share your personal stuff to the world , you should tell Rayna.”
Finalul m-a lasat cu gura cascata. Asta e tot ce pot sa zic fara a da prea multe din casa dar daca veti decide sa cititi cartea pregatiti-va pentru cel mai ingrozitor cliffhanger ever.
In concluzie , Anna Banks a reusit sa ma binedispuna o zi intreaga. Va rog sa ma credeti ca nu am facut aceasta recenzie de asa natura incat sa para ca mi-a placut cartea doar pentru ca mi-a fost trimisa de autoare. Va spun cu mana pe inima ca mi-a placut extrem de mult. SI VREAU CONTINUAREA CAT MAI REPEDE !!

Ladies and gentlemans , forget vampires , werewolfs , angels and welcome Syrenas – not mermaids! Forget the Cullens and welcome Triton and Poseidon.
Once upon a time , there were two houses in the depts of the ocean: Poseidon and Triton. Poseidon decides to go on shore to live with the humans, due to his fascination for the human species , where he ends up making childern called Half-Breeds. Things don’t go as planned and he calls his brother for help. Triton kills all of them , plus the half-breeds. Every third generation , the first borns of each house have to marry one another. According to the law , Grom (Triton house) and Nalia (Poseidon house) have to marry each other but Nalia is killed in an explosion that leaves Grom without his significant other.
The story begins on the sunny Florida beaches where Emma falls in the arms of Galen (Groms brother). She is a mistery to him because her body and character show him that she can be a syrena but he’s not sure. When he finds out that she has the Gift of Poseidon , he has to make a decision: bring her to his brother to marry her or his love for her it’s too big to make that sacrifice?
Told from Emmas and Galens pov , the story makes itself very clear. The book is very light , funny and full of mistery. All the characters are well written , from Emma and Galen , to Rayna and Toraf , to Rachel and Emmas mom. There are a few characters but every one of them has an important part in the story.
Emma is the type of character that I love very much: sarcastic , fun , and even if in the begging of the book she was in the shadow of Chloe , her friend , maturing as a Syrena she is more badass and ready to put it all in the game. Even if she was voted as the sweetest girl in school she throws Rayna on a glass window in a fight. Galen is a syrena- not a mermaid- very hot , according to Emma. He is the syrena ambasador for humans and spends most of his time on shore. The story between the two of them is very fun and nice. How will he give her up to his brother when he loves her so much ?
Other characters who made me smile were Rayna and Toraf. Toraf is best friends with the two brothers from childhood but when he reaches maturity he has to mate so he chooses Rayna without her agreement. We see how he tries to convince her and she plays hard to get every second of the book but at one point the roles change and she has to chase him. It was so fun to read that relationship. Toraf is the friend you can count on no matter what. Rayna is so different from him , stuborn child who would do anything to ruin things for everyone.
The finale let me with my mouth open. That’s all I can say without giving up spoilers but if you decide to read the book prepare yourself for the biggest cliffhanger ever.
Bottom line , Anna Banks has succeeded to make me smile for an entire day. Please believe me that I didn’t make this review so light because the book was sent to me by the author. From the bootom of my heart I swear the I LOVED IT and if I had the chance to buy the book I would’ve. AND I WANT THE SEQUEL LIKE RIGHT NOW !!!
