After Estella Montclair is killed in a texting and driving crash, what remains of her face and body is devastating. But not all of her has died. During the first month after her death, Estella’s spirit travels among her living friends and family. Her best friends Zara, Eva and Jett show her how pain and sorrow can break apart or strengthen a bond. She also sees for the first time that loss can spark revenge, catastrophe can come without warning, and we all have secrets. She wonders if her chance for love with Phoenix has passed her by, and if out of sight truly means out of mind. And maybe one day the girl who caused her death will admit her mistake. While adjusting to a new state of being, Estella struggles to face the limitations that come with death, but blossoms by recognizing she can still touch the lives of the people she once knew so well.
Hello , Hello. I am so sorry I am a day late with my review but I was so busy yesterday that I forgot to do a queue post. But here’s my review:
I am not going to do a summary because you already have it. I have mixed feelings about this book. After her death Estella decides to stick around , so she can watch the people in her life live without her. Her parents are pretty much a mile apart from each other , her friends have secrets on their own and finally , her crush doesn’t seem to grief that much.
In my opinion , some parts were so creepy. For gods sake , she watched her friends have sex (not with each other though). I was not okay with that part. Also , Heidi’s friends (Heidi was the one who caused the accident) were acting like it was Estella’s fault , and they beat the c*ap out of Estella’s friends. That part was a little too violent for my taste. Okay , she was their friend , but she killed a person. And they knew it was her fault and they still acted like it was Estella’s fault. Not a good motive for me.
I have yet to read the finale , and I’m not going to drop it just because the tour is over for me. I hope till the end it will surprise me.
P.S. I’m sorry again , YA Bound , for not sending my review on schedule.
I give it 3/5 umbrellas
